Default Need help picking a spot for backyard garden...

    Hello!
I am trying to start a garden in my backyard, but I am having difficulty deciding where to put it. I have many trees in my yard, so it is hard to find a spot that would receive adequate sunlight. I was wondering if you guys could give me a hand and take a look at a video I made of my backyard. It shows my entire backyard, (and me rambling about it, lol) and was wondering if you could take a quick look at it and help me determine where to put the garden. Thanks so much for helping! I really appreciate it!

You could add mirrors to your yard at key points to help light come into the garden, along with the obvious suggestion of thinning your trees. You may even want to put some reflective material against your sunniest fence and plant the garden right in front of it. (This is suggested without seeing the video since the link still doesn't work)

From that fence right there at 7:56 in the video would be the best place, go get some 2 X12s, 2 12 feet long and 2 the width of that fence. then get some dollar store black gardening clothe, cover the grass, staple and overlap this stuff about a foot, up the side of the boards, fill with a 4 inch layer of dirt, then throw a layer of animal manure, sheep, cow, chicken, whatever you can get, then fill with dirt. Now plant some plants and Happy Gardening.
