Nectarine tree

Two years in a row the nectarines just dry up and never mature. Can any one tell me why this is happening?:confused:

it could be they weren't actually pollinated, and so the tree aborted.

Or perhaps a watering issue.

They are doing the same thing this year and we have had lots of rain. I think they are self pollinating.
