Well this is my first time growing corn and it was doing ok...until i saw some worms, i picked them off(the ones in plain sight) however now my corn cobs look like garlic gloves. Can any one tell me what happened?
Can't remember the name of it, but it's a type of disease in the soil. It happened to a couple of rows of mine this year. I was told to cut it down and not to plant corn in the same spot next year & it will most likely recover.

I had the same problem the only time I planted corn. The ears did not grow well and the soil was depleted so badly that I had to plant legumes and add compost for a couple of years to restore it. Crop rotation is essential, especially when raising corn. :(
